This page is a collection of graphic images (mostly comic book art), some of which are scattered around on my site. You may have arrived at this page because you clicked on an image for which I have not yet identified the source (my apologies for the confusion and the delay). It is my intention to provide an appropriate URL to show the source for the image as soon as I can. Thanks for your understanding. You may return to the page you came from at any time by clicking on the browser back button (or on the back button on this page).

Whenever possible I have provided links to related articles or other images. The images are grouped by artist, usually, but the figures are numbered according to when I added them to the page. With such a small number of images, this is not a problem (yet). I plan to organize them alphabetically at some point.

Just finding and sharing these images here is like a time machine for me, walking me back into my youth and my childhood and reliving those magic moments with these great artists.

Frank Frazetta

Frank Frazetta has a special page dedicated to him because he was such an important influence on me.

tarzanlostempire_frazetta.jpg - Cover painting for Tarzan and the Lost Empire Ace paperback; this image appears in many places and I'm not sure where I snagged the one I used. In the interests of sharing the wealth, I am showing several sites that have this image (whether I used their image or not). When I'm surfing, I tend to get a little carried away with the artwork and lose track of where I got it!

Mort Drucker

Before his long run in Mad Magazine, Mort Drucker did some very interesting work for war titles and science fiction stories for DC and Atlas. In my teens and early twenties I made several drawings from his stories.

Donn P. Crane

As a child, I was lucky enough to have access to My Book House, a wonderful collection of images, stories and poems. It was lavishly illustrated by many illustrators, including Gustave Dore, John Allen St. John, John Tenniel, N.C. Wyeth and Donn P. Crane. I wouldn't be a bit surprised to learn that access to these wonderful books is responsible for my life-long interest in reading and beautiful art.

This is only one of the many images from my early childhood experience that led me to Robin Hood, Prince Valiant, St. George and ultimately to Frank Frazetta, Joe Kubert, William Kaluta and Al Williamson.
