I added a chess widget and a chess plugin today. The widget allows us to work on chess puzzles every day (with three levels of difficulty). The plugin will allow me to put up pgn files of my games (and other interesting games). I will probably put the chess games on a separate page and only blog about plugins and chess topics that might interest the casual reader. On my own web page, I have a chess page, but I’m thinking it might be easier to shift it here. We’ll see.

Hi Don,
Thanks for the chess puzzles. What is the address of your “chess page”?
I’m the web editor of ChessMaine.net the official site of the Maine Chess Association.

Hi, Dan. My chess page [ https://donsmallidge.com/chess.html ] is a work-in-progress and not in very good shape. Mostly it suffers from benign neglect (while I try to find a little time to work on it after playing my moves at ItsYourTurn, etc.). I also recently joined chess.com, but my other family and career obligations have not allowed me to take full advantage of my membership. I was hoping to spend a little more time on it each week (eventually time each day).
As I get older, my game seems to have lost its edge and I would like to work on that! WordPress blogging seems to be a pretty effective way to connect with other chess players. At this point I play mostly with a colleague at work and friends or strangers on ItsYourTurn.
Cheers, Don
